Apogee Prepress provides substrate texture files in .mime format to simulate the visual characteristics of various paper types during soft proofing. These textures are used for preview purposes only and do not affect the final printed output.

By overlaying these textures in the proofing preview, you can better visualize how a design will appear on the selected substrate. Texture files can be assigned to paper types in the Paper Stock settings, where you can also adjust their intensity to control visibility.
